Cookie Policy

1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Madeirabook (operated by Andrei Kurochkin, Empresário Individual em Portugal) uses cookies and similar technologies on:

• **www.madeirabook.com** (site, booking platform and owner cabinet)

By using the Platform, you consent to the use of cookies as described below.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide information to site owners.

We also use similar technologies — localStorage and sessionStorage — which work like cookies but store data in your browser without sending it to our server on each request.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These are required for the Platform to function. You cannot disable them.

3.2 Analytics Cookies

We use basic analytics to understand how the Platform is used. These cookies do not personally identify you.

We do not use:

• Advertising cookies
• Third-party tracking (Facebook Pixel, TikTok, etc.)
• Cross-site tracking

3.3 Storage (localStorage / sessionStorage)

Used by the app for:

• Remembering your last-viewed month in the calendar
• Guest preferences within the session
• Session data during a booking (not persistent)

Cleared automatically when you close the browser or clear your cache.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services we use:

• Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention. See Stripe's Privacy Policy: https://stripe.com/privacy
• Google Analytics — if enabled, for traffic analysis. See Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

We do not control these cookies — their use is governed by the respective providers' policies.

5. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
• Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Important: disabling strictly necessary cookies will break the Platform (you won't be able to log in or complete a booking).

6. Do Not Track

We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. However, we do not track you across other websites.

7. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy. Material changes will be announced on the Platform.
