Il Gallo d'Oro

Il Gallo d'Oro is the gastronomic flagship of Madeira: two Michelin stars and a Green Star under chef Benoît Sinthon, inside PortoBay's The Cliff Bay hotel on the cliff line west of the centre.

The cuisine is French classical school fused with Atlantic aquaculture — fish and shellfish from the surrounding ocean, vegetables, herbs and fruit harvested daily from the chef's private organic garden. Tasting menus only; book weeks ahead and allow a full evening.
